Mirasol Yarn - Kancha

Kancha yarn comes in beautiful water color shades. The lambswool and cotton blend creates an airy fabric.  Great for summer garments, wraps and even baby wear.  It has drape and very little body.  So use this feature for sleeveless tops, or short sleeve tops, and of course any shawl or wrap.  But not really suitable for long sweaters or cardigans as the garment tend to lengthen.  Knit, crocheted or machine knit, it would be good on all.   Our shawl sample is crocheted and used just one hank.   It steam blocks out beautiful, we are very happy the with results.

The pattern we used was Falling Blossoms Shawl by Ana D on Ravelry.  It is written for a different size yarn, but we made it work.  We used a 4.5mm hook and one hank of yarn.   We cut back on the 2  sections so that we could have a full flower lace section.   It was a test.   If we did it again, we'd use 2 hanks so we could do full sections and a touch more length.  But its really cute none-the-less, don't you think?

This is a discontinued yarn.   Colors limited to stock on hand.
