Cascade Yarns Cherub Chunky - Blue Heron 108
Blue Heron 108 is a medium, soft blue with a dusty quality. It pairs well with other dusty blues or medium shades. This color is perfect for children's spaces due to its youthful and charming character.
It's a perfect color for children and the young at heart, making it an excellent choice for depicting the sky in colorwork.
The yarn, a fusion of nylon and acrylic, features a subtle sheen and impressive drape. Knitted as a worsted weight, it yields a fabric that is thick with a significant body, ideal for creating a warm jacket. When crocheted, it turns soft and drapes elegantly.
Cherub Chunky is a bulky weight yarn. A perfect blend of acrylic and nylon fibers, softer than any acrylic blend you've used! This yarn is a very soft bulky, works up quickly, and is scrumdiddlyumptious. These are 100 gram balls. Garments hand knit or crocheted out of Cherub Chunky move from your wash machine to your dryer. The resulting fabric is soft and delightful. Allergic to wool? Knit or crochet a sweatshirt style pullover or hoodie. So soft and will not irritate the skin.
Cascade offers a whole line of Cherub Yarns. Cherub Baby is a fingering weight. Cherub DK is slightly heavier at a DK weight of 5.5 to 6 sts per inch. Cherub Aran is a light worsted that gets 5 sts per inch. And last, but not least Cherub Chunky is a Bulky weight that works up to 3 to 3.5 sts per inch.
IDEAL for the bulky gauge knitting machine. Creates a very delicate crochet too!

- Perfect for the Silver Reed Chunky Gauge Knitting Machines.
- I test knit Cherub Chunky on our LK150 (Silver Reed) mid-gauge knitting machine, and the results were lovely at the looser settings of 6 through 9. The lower tension of 6 produced a piece with more body. Great for Jackets. Tension dial 9 produced a more drapey fabric good for soft sweaters and wraps. Although most of the time a Chunky yarn isn't a good fit for this mid-gauge machine.
