Cascade Yarns Cherub Chunky - Meadow Heather 125
The overall appearance of Meadow Heather is a gentle lime green, imbued with heather shades of yellow and blue. This color exudes an energetic and cheerful vibe.
It's the ideal color for children and those young at heart, serving as a superb option for enthusiasts of green and lovers of vibrant color splashes.
The yarn, blending nylon and acrylic, boasts a gentle sheen and remarkable drape. When knit in worsted weight, it produces a substantial fabric with considerable heft, perfect for crafting a cozy jacket. Crocheted, it becomes supple and falls gracefully.
Cherub Chunky is a bulky weight yarn. A perfect blend of acrylic and nylon fibers, softer than any acrylic blend you've used! This yarn is a very soft bulky, works up quickly, and is scrumdiddlyumptious. These are 100 gram balls. Garments hand knit or crocheted out of Cherub Chunky move from your wash machine to your dryer. The resulting fabric is soft and delightful. Allergic to wool? Knit or crochet a sweatshirt style pullover or hoodie. So soft and will not irritate the skin.
Cascade offers a whole line of Cherub Yarns. Cherub Baby is a fingering weight. Cherub DK is slightly heavier at a DK weight of 5.5 to 6 sts per inch. Cherub Aran is a light worsted that gets 5 sts per inch. And last, but not least Cherub Chunky is a Bulky weight that works up to 3 to 3.5 sts per inch.
IDEAL for the bulky gauge knitting machine. Creates a very delicate crochet too!

- Perfect for the Silver Reed Chunky Gauge Knitting Machines.
- I tested Cherub Chunky yarn on our LK150 (Silver Reed) mid-gauge knitting machine, and the results were impressive at the looser tension settings of 6 to 9. A tension setting of 6 yielded a fabric with more body, ideal for jackets. Meanwhile, a tension setting of 9 created a fabric with more drape, suitable for soft sweaters and wraps. However, it's worth noting that Chunky yarn typically doesn't work well with mid-gauge machines.
