This size is classified as LACE with a classification of [ 0 ]. Most commonly used for lace shawls, wedding accessories, special very formal events, to christening gowns. This very thin yarn is usually knit very loosely using a US#4 through #8, depending on the individual pattern. Ideal for crochet too. Crochet will also crochet very stunning and formal accessories. While crochet produces a thicker fabric, this yarn is so thin, that the gossamer effect is not lost.  Whether it is knit, crochet, knitted lace or crocheted lace, all items still are light weight and moves on the slightest breeze.
