Queensland Collection Fiji - St Augustine #1008
As bad as it sounds, St Augustine #1008 reminds me of the shimmering, rainbow-like effect seen on the surface of water with oil that could be called "iridescence" or sometimes referred to as an "oil slick" effect in a more casual or visual context. Probably my favorite shade in the Fiji line. The colors are deep indigo and violet, electric blue and teal, emerald green, magenta and fuchsia, burnished gold, and coppery rust
Queensland Collection Fiji is a luxurious yarn crafted from 100% superwash Merino wool, offering a vibrant, quick self-striping effect inspired by the tropical hues of the Fiji Islands. Sourced and dyed in Tuscany, Italy, this yarn combines vivid corals with rich, dark tones, creating a unique color-changing experience that adds depth and vibrancy to any project
Ideal for projects that aim to make a statement, such as scarves, shawls, and lightweight garments. Designers have recommended it for patterns like "Melange Scarf Knit Scarf" by Victoria Myers and "Rainbows Crochet Cardi" by Sandi Prosser.
