What are Crochet Hooks?

Crochet hooks are the essential tools used in the craft of crochet. They come in various sizes, materials, and designs to suit different projects and personal preferences. 

The features of a crochet hook are:

How to select a hook is first of all a personal preference. There is a lot of motion in the wrist when crocheting. To ease stress select a hook that lays comfortably in your hand, without the need to grip and hold it tightly.  A hook that does not swivel around, and where the hook is always facing the work. We find the ergonomic hooks to be the most comfortable.  Addi offers a perfectly ergonomic hook.  Clover Amour hooks are slightly ergonomic. The handle is oval.  It is larger than the round aluminum hooks, but not as large as the Addi brand. Many crocheters also love the warm and natural feel of a wood hook.
