Tamara de Lempicka was born in 1898 in Warsaw Poland but spent most of her adult life in France and the United States. Her portraits of the wealthy and aristocrats and nudes, unlike most Art Deco artist, had pure clean lines, soft shading and romantic colors. Her work at that time was controversial and her personal life was considered scandalous.
Soft neutrals with pops of either red, blue, green, raspberry or yellow. Cascade choose soft tones of brown and grey, and used shades of raspberry to give a soft feminine appeal. Ideal for the save haven of a "she-shed" or bedroom. Just looking at these colors a calming sensation overwhelms you. Enjoy!
