Hikoo Yarns gives us sock weight (fingering) yarn without wool (CoBaSi).  So if you need socks with no wool, look to CoBaSi.  But fingering weight yarn is not just for socks, it is perfect for knit OR crocheted scarves and wraps, baby garments and light weight adult tops.
