G-4mm works perfectly for [ 2 ] Fine weight yarn, often referred to as sport weight. This hook and its appropriate sized yarn creates a medium to light hand, usually around 18 sc per 4 inches.
The Clover Amour Crochet Hooks are my personal favorite. The way they easily lay in my hand. The hook has a slightly more tapered tip than most hooks, making it easy to insert in stitches. Plus the hook itself has plenty of space so my new loop is secure as I pull a new stitch through.
