This 22" (13cm) MINI red cable can only be used with the 4" and 5" tips, US 000 - 1.5, or as an extension to another MINI cable with the use of a MINI cable connector. With the 4" tips, the total length would be 30". This 22" cord attached to 5" tips would make a total length of 32".
Cables come in three sizes. Each size fits a range of tips. Unique to ChiaoGoo, these different sizes allows the join to be mini, small or large as is required to make the yarn slip smoothly over the join.
- Minis: US 000 - 1.5 (1.5mm - 2.5mm) Order Cables marked as "mini" for these tip sizes.
- Small: US 2 - 8 (2.75mm - 5mm) Order Order Cables marked as "small" for these tip sizes.
- Large: US 9 - 15 (5.5mm - 10mm) Order Order Cables marked as 'large" for these tip sizes.
ChiaoGoo also offers join connectors and adapters. Connectors connect two cords of the same size (mini, small or large). Adapters available will join small tips to mini cables, or large tips to small cables. There is no adapter (at the time of this writing) to join mini to large.
TWIST cables are memory-free! They consist of a multi-strand, steel cable coated with red nylon. Lifeline holes can be found at each end of these cables. Insert the T-shaped tightening key into the lifeline hole to assist with securing your tip/cable connection.
