Silver Reed LK150 Yarn Rest
On the Silver Reed LK150, the yarn rest is located at the back of either the left or right end of the needle bed. This feature is specifically designed to hold the yarn when it's not in active use, allowing it to stay anchored and out of the way.
New machines come with 2, one for each end. This order is just for one yarn rest. If you need both be sure to order 2.
Here’s a more accurate breakdown of its function:
- Placement: Attached to the back end of the bed, either on the left or right side. There is a slot there that it slides into.
- Purpose: Keeps the yarn neatly anchored when switching colors, changing yarn, or pausing work, so it doesn’t interfere with the current knitting row or get tangled.
- Ease of Use: You simply secure the yarn on this rest, which is helpful when managing multiple yarns or when you need to keep the yarn temporarily idle.
This feature is particularly helpful in multi-yarn projects or when stopping and restarting, as it maintains order and prevents unwanted snags.
